Following Jesus & Living with Purpose in Community.

We want to see people live their fullest possible lives and we think that happens by
following Jesus, being part of a healthy and loving community,
and using your gifts and abilities to help others.

We have a few core values at Midtown

These are the value statements we consider in every decision we make.

Community over Isolation

We were not meant to live life alone and we all need other people. Midtown is a community that will celebrate the highs of life and walk through the lows together.

Curiosity over Judgement

Do you have questions or doubts about faith? Us too. Midtown is a safe place to ask questions and even express doubts and we will search for answers together.

Authenticity over Perfection

At Midtown, we value authenticity because it's the pathway to healing and wholeness. We're all broken but we don't have to stay that way. So bring your true self and lets get better together.

Relationship over Religion

Rules are good. If we didn't have them we would live in chaos. Jesus lived by a set of rules, especially two—loving God and loving others. Jesus' rules were all about right relationships.

Dialogue over Monologue

One person continuously talking is a monologue. Two people shouting over each other is a fight. Two or more people exploring important ideas together is dialogue. We prefer dialogue.

Action over Words

DC talk was right. Love is a verb.

Love over Selfishness

All of our other values are expressions of love. We are to love our neighbor as ourself. If everyone lived out this value we think things would be pretty awesome. It might even feel like heaven on earth.

We're big on practices.

We believe that to become more like Jesus, we have to practice being more like Jesus.
