SABBATH

God blessed the seventh day and made it sacred, because on it God stopped from his entire work of creation that he had been doing. — Genesis 2v3

The word “sabbath” means “to stop.”
In Genesis, God worked for six days and then God rested on the seventh. In doing so, God built a rhythm into the fabric of creation. When we live in alignment with this ancient rhythm, we find peace and joy, but when we live in opposition to it, we will wear down or even fracture our souls.
